Extraneural/-cranial metastases (ENM) of main central nervous system (CNS) tumors are uncommon and could also be diagnostically difficult. We describe the cytomorphological and pertinent scientific options of ENM in a case collection assessed by fine-needle aspiration (FNA). A search of the laboratory info methods of two tertiary care facilities in Toronto (2000-2015) was carried out. Circumstances with direct extracranial/-spinal extension of CNS neoplasms have been excluded. Microscopic slides of FNA and surgical specimens have been reviewed. Demographic and clinicopathological information have been retrieved.
